Description There are many benefits to inclusion for both children in regular education and special education when inclusion practices are implemented correctly and the necessary supports are provided. This presentation will provide: an overview of inclusion, the benefits of inclusion, effective incluson practices, guidelines for successful inclusion. Effective inclusion practices such as positive behavior support, classroom management, collaboration, frequent progress monitoring, and data collection to ensure academic, behavioral, and social gains will be reviewed. This presentation will assist parents, regular education teachers, special education teachers and administrators in identifying the practices and supports necessary for succesful inclusion.
