Lending Library
The Lending Library hosts over 3,500 books, videos, newsletters and reference materials on specific disabilities, family support programs and other resources. Information is available on topics including disabilities, respite care, parenting issues, education, recreation and much more. Materials may be borrowed for one month and return postage is prepaid.
Options Manual
A Family-Friendly Guide to New Jersey Developmental Disability Community - OPTIONS includes information on support programs, advocacy, education, recreation, financial assistance and practical parent to parent tips. This resource manual is free to family members and is available to professionals at a nominal cost.

Parent to Parent
Parent to Parent, in collaboration with SPAN - is a statewide network of parents supporting families of children with developmental delays, disabilities, and special health needs. Parent to Parent offers emotional support and information, and is a valuable resource to families. It provides assistance in learning the necessary skills to help parents face the challenges of raising their child.

Resource Database
A statewide initiative that provides families with an individual budget from which they can purchase services based on a personalized plan of care. Eligibility is determined by the DDD. An online resource data base for families seeking support programs in their area is maintained by the Family Support Center of New Jersey.

Respite Workbook for Families & Care-Providers
The Family Support Center is distributing comprehensive patient information tools that can be entrusted to a temporary care or respite provider. "About Our Family- A Respite Workbook for Families or Care-Providers" is a product of the Child Neurology Foundation and is distributed free of charge by the Family Support Center. Speaker's Bureau
The Family Support Center of NJ has staff that is equipped and available to go into the community to make presentations or exhibit at local community events. If you would like to request a staff member at your next event or require more information please call (732) 528-8080 or (800) 372-6510.
Self-Directed Services
Self Directed Services represents a system’s change for the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). The system is changing from focusing on goals identified by professionals to outcomes developed by individuals and their families.

The Training Calendar
The Training Calendar acts as a clearinghouse of information about workshops, presentations, trainings and conferences in New Jersey. The Calendar provides professionals with a tool to help plan and promote events, as well as allow family members and caregivers a point place to access detailed information about activities in their area.
