DDD County Family Forums

As New Jersey's economic crisis looms larger every day and its population ages, it is more important than ever that we work with families who are concerned about the future well-being of a loved one with developmental disabilities. The County-Based Family Forums are designed to share and exchange information with individuals who are near the top of DDDs' Priority and Priority Deferred Community Services Waiting List (CSWL) as well as enrollees of Real Life Choices (RLC) and Self-Determination (SD).

The forum's purpose is to create new and expanded partnerships between: DDD and families, DDD and County government, provider agencies and families, and most importantly, between families who are on the CSWL and other families in the same situation. We hope to open a rich dialogue among County partners whose primary focus is to support families as they create a sound plan to protect the future well-being of a family member with developmental disabilites.
